Description
The Solar Space Fleet teaches kids about solar energy and how it can be used to power our vehicles, both today and in the future. In a world where there is an increased demand for alternative energy, introducing kids to clean solar energy and its applications at a young age is important. With easy, snap together assembly a child can put this kit together without any adult help and watch as the vehicle slows down or speeds up depending on the intensity of the light. Critical thinking and problem solving skills will also be further developed as kids work with the various electrical and mechanical components of the space fleet.

Follow the step-by-step instructions to assemble seven different space vehicles from snap together parts (no tools required). Only one vehicle can be assembled at a time, but assembly and disassembly is quick and easy, making it easy to transform one vehicle into another in just minutes. Each vehicle can be powered by a solar panel or micro rechargeable battery. Power the solar panel by sunlight or halogen bulbs from typical indoor lamps. The micro rechargeable battery can be charged using two AA batteries (not included) or the included solar cell. Models that can be made from this kit include a Space Station, Robot, Rover, Vehicle, Astronaut, Shuttle, and Dog. There are no required items that are not included, but wire cutters to trim the molded plastic parts will be helpful.

The Solar Space Fleet Kit is an innovative solar powered science kit that can transform into seven different lunar modules and energized via direct sunlight or micro rechargeable battery. Some solar powered toys, particularly those children can build themselves; provide an ideal mix of creative, active learning. The Solar Space Fleet, for example, allows children to snap together parts (no tools required) to create seven different working models including a Space Station, Robot, Rover, Vehicle, Astronaut, Shuttle and Dog. Each complete model is powered by a mini solar panel using sunlight, indoor halogen light, or micro rechargeable battery that literally brings the kits to life. As children watch the toy they built move around and speed up or slow down depending on the intensity of the light, they're not only learning and experimenting with solar power but also having fun with it. The kit can be powered by either a solar panel or a micro rechargeable battery (both are included in the kit). The micro rechargeable battery can be charged in two ways. One is charged by direct sunlight and the other is charged by alkaline batteries (AAA x 2, not included).
